all four are similar and they're nothing crazy but they're good quick sapphic reads which I totally need sometimes! I would say for battle couple recs - they're not like battling like soldiers or anything but I just sped through all four books of the Tales of Inthya, it's four sapphic princess books, they're all interconnected, and all of them feature a main couple solving the major problem/fighting together. I've also read all of When Women Were Warriors, but good to know I'm on the right track! Thanks for the recs! I'll definitely check out Tigers Daughter - I read Gideon the Ninth and never picked up Harrow bc of the end of Gideon (won't go into more detail and spoil) - is there more romance in Harrow than Gideon?

Where the two MCs aren't seperated most of the time and actually get to adventure/fight together? In Harrow the Ninth there was a "Were YOU the one who did that?" scene though followed by threats. Mm not sure if this one counts but third book of When Women Were Warriors there's definitely a jealous/protective scene when the main character confronts the character who really hurt her lover and there's a tense moment where she considers killing her but she's more interested in interrogating about what happened then yelling or going on a rampage (This one is really light on fantasy it's more just fiction)ĭang I can't think of a "Who did this to you?" scene off the top of my head though.
In Tigers Daughter there was a big scene where one main character loses control and goes in a mad fury over an injury of the other (This one is fantasy)Īnd in Harrow the Ninth I remember a couple of scenes of jealous/protective fury towards the end, the big one being kinda comedic too because there's a lot of important stuff going on but the character is just really focused on talking shit to the person she's angry at for hurting her crush/jealous of for.reasons lol (This one is both fantasy and scifi)
